Hi Everyone,

I have been teaching in Rocklin for thirteen years, nine here in Sixth grade at Antelope Creek. I earned my teaching credential and Master's Degree is Education in 2005 and Bachelor's Degree in Human Development in 2003-- both from UC Davis. I am GATE-qualified and have completed many trainings in programs such as the California Math Project SUCCESS Grant Program, Junior Great Books, AVID, Second step, Math Matters, Common Core, GLAD, Leader in Me, updated technology Training, California Education and the Environmental Initiative, and more. I love coming back and bringing all the new material I learn into our classroom!

My husband, Jesse, and I have been married for 20 years and we have three very active and adventurous children: Kiernan (20), Avonlea (17), and Cory(10). Between competitive waterpolo, competitive soccer, swim team, basketball, track, concert band, theater productions, and more, we are kept wonderfully busy.... Great fun, absolutely, but not a lot of down time! ;)

As a family, we love to Scuba dive any chance we get (My twenty-year-old and I completed our Advanced Certification--which was a blast), go "off the grid" on 20-mile+ backpacking weekenders, catch anything involving theater and the arts, enjoy Farmer's markets and movies in the park, gardening and taking care of our dogs, chickens, rabbits, and turtles; and doing pretty much anything else that pops up in our local community.

I love teaching Sixth grade and I will love spending this year with YOU!!

Love,
Mrs. O
