Family Involvement-Just 2 Hours!

Thank YOU for being a wonderful part of our ACE Community!

YOU, our parent/family community, are so important to the success of our school. We need you more than EVER! Have you wondered how to get involved, but not sure how to start? Maybe you volunteered in earlier grades, but it somehow got away from you as the years rolled by? Now is the time to please join us in revitalizing our commitment to our community of families and overall student achievement.

The ideas you can bring to us, big or small, are welcome and encouraged. Volunteering in the classroom or around the school is a rewarding experience for everybody involved. We have so many wonderful cultures to extract knowledge from, perspectives to listen to, and helping hands ready to join in.

The Time is Now!!!!

Easy first steps that are so important to us:

1) Sign up to be a member of PTA

2) Attend, just listen in, or voice your thoughts at PTA meetings. Just your presence alone is HUGE, even if you don't want to say anything.

3) Be our classroom PTA rep, where you go, listen, and/or share your thoughts then bring back the topics discussed.

4) Volunteer to help PTA during fundraising and school-wide or classroom activities

5) Volunteer for the role of Art Docent, an exciting and fun way to be a part of our classroom. No art background necessary.

6) Volunteer to help with School Functions such as Back-to-School Night, Carnival, Open House, etc.

7) Volunteer in the classroom. We will love you forever!

8) Ask the office or the principal in what ways you can help around campus.

9) Come to the various Fundraising Restaurant and Community Nights.

10) Do you have a special talent, skill, or credential? Offer to create a weekly Drama Club, Choir, Lego/Robotics Club, Chess Club, Reading Club, /Composting Club, help build planters or do small construction projects, Science Club, Math Club, History Club, Video/Film/Technology Club, the sky's the limit!

In addition to the school-wide benefits your help and involvement will reward us with, my sixth grades students get the added bonus of a homework pass with each PTA, Fundraising, or Activity that you or a family representative attend!! :-)
