Unit 5 - We began our unit 5, Advancements in Technology – What is the value of Innovation? This week we read about Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Edison.
* Students were given an assignment on Thursday to FIRST – get an inventor/invention approved by me and SECOND – research and come up with a 30 second to one minute presentation about the inventor/invention. The yellow form had the exact rubric in which we will be grading. The presentations will be on Thursday, February 14!
Accelerated Reading
* Please make sure your student is reading an AR book, IN THEIR LEVEL for 80 minutes outside of the classroom, per week and having you initial their reading log. Please look at

* Donations – Some of you asked if our classroom needed anything, we do! Pencils, preferably #2 pencils. Thank you!
* Leadership CARES Goals – February Goal is to have 100% School Spirit Day wear on Friday of the month of February. Wear a school shirt, maroon, or dark green.
*Box Tops – Please bring in your box tops in a Ziploc bag with Moore written on it.
