Meet Mrs. Caudill!
Welcome to my class webpage. I am excited to be your child's teacher this year. Kindergarten is a special time in a student's life when they learn not only how to read and decode words, learn how to synergize as a class team, count, add and subtract, but also sing and have fun!
I received my BA degree (2007) and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (2008) from California State University, Sacramento. I have also earned an Associates Degree (2003) from American River College and have done lower graduate course work at Sierra College.
I did my student teaching in the Natomas Unified School District, where also I taught First Grade in 2008. After having my first son, Nathan, I discovered Montessori education. I loved the fine motor skill development and focus on personal independence in that program. I taught kindergarten from 2011 (Orangevale Campus) to until 2016 (Carmichael Campus) for the California Montessori Project. I took my teaching experience with me, when I was welcomed with open arms into the Antelope Creek family in the fall of 2016. Here I have made my home! Teaching is my life's passion. I truly believe I was meant to teach young students, as I love to sing and dance!
My hobbies are reading, gardening with succulent plants, camping up in the El Dorado National Forest, or visiting the ocean. I love to collect sea shells, gemstones, rocks and minerals. My students have discovered a collection of gemstones and minerals in my classroom, and the leader of the day selects one gemstone to represent that day of school. It is truly a joy for me to share the world of geology.
I have a husband named Eddie, who loves computer technology, and two sons: Nathan and Logan. We have an older chocolate lab named Cooper, who has been in our loving family before Eddie and I had our sons!
Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. I look forward to a wonderful school year.
sincerely,
Sarah Caudill
